The LongBox
Yup, It’s here.
After a small delay in publishing, I’m here with a bit more of a round up of the Con’s events.
Lets hope that this time everything goes well and I’m not still sorting this out 12 hours from now!

It does not happen every day at GeekEteers, that we get to offer you an exclusive interview. Well, today is not like every day. I had the pleasure to talk to independent film-maker Ralph Suarez, who wrote and directed “Purgatory Comics”, a movie that features a comicbook store, the appropriate amount of geeks, life changing questions and – of course – a porn star.Posted in Interviews, Other, WatchAbles | Tagged: geek, dc, Purgatory Comics, comicbook, movie, store, Ralph Suarez, Bree Olson, Blu Ray, Marvel, adult film, pornstar, porn, kevin smith, independent movie, angela benedict, tim kelly, jonathan zungre, robert socci, peter whales, clerks | 1 Comment »

…but the house in which Jerry Siegel dreamed up a bulletproof man, who was the first of a new kind of fictional heroes is still standing – barely. The creation of Superman was the birth of a new genre, which continues to amaze people to this very day. Even cynical people, even people who hate comics have to agree on one thing: When it comes down to the question, who the most widely known fictional characters in the history of story telling are, polls would list the man of steel in the top ten along with names like Sherlock Holmes, Hamlet, Dracula, Faust, Don Quichote and most definitely a few of his super powered and/or costumed relatives.Posted in Other, ReadAbles | Tagged: batman, book of lies, brad meltzer, cleveland, comic, dc, dc comics, heroes, jerry siegel, kal el, man of steel, ohio, siegel & shuster soceity, superman | Leave a Comment »
